El Khatib: Egypt is a Stable Country Under the Command of President El Sisi 

Al Ahly President Captain Mahmoud El Khatib said that most of the Egyptian clubs saw that the season should be voided due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Al Ahly had a different point of view regarding this situation. 

"The wisdom of the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was one of the main reasons behind the return of sports activities after it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic."

"The decision of resuming the league was taken by the Prime Minister with the support of all the Egyptian authorities to implement it in the most perfect way."

"Our country has achieved security, stability, as well as fulfilling great construction achievements. Also, Egypt is currently having strong international relations and we should all move in this direction and work hard for our country's sake."

"We decided not to reduce the workers' salaries since the outbreak of COVID-19. This is their major right, especially after the postponement of the sporting activities due to the pandemic."

"All the club's workers were getting their wages, except the players as the big wages were paid as installments to afford the workers' salaries."

"We have great relationships with the Egyptian authorities, and our decisions are only aiming to the good common. We aimed to finish the league before the CAF Champions League competition, and we used all the legal channels to implement our demand."

"However, the Egyptian Football Association has done good things, applying the VAR is the most important of them."
