Al Ahly’s President Mahmoud El Khatib will head Al Ahly’s delegation that will travel to Qatar on Friday to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled between 4 and 11 February.
Al Ahly will represent Africa in the prestigious competition for the sixth time in history, after clinching the CAF Champions League title for the 9th time in the club’s history.
Al Ahly’s best achievement in the competition came in 2006 when we secured the bronze medal.
The Red Eagles will take on Qatar’s Al Duhail SC on 4 February and the winner will face German champions, Bayern Munich, on 8 February.
