Al Ahly President Mahmoud El Khatib was keen to meet Al Ahly players and the coaching staff following the team’s final training session at El Tetsh stadium ahead of the team’s trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo to face AS Vita Club.

“We must go to DR Congo to show our character and put on a strong performance against AS Vita Club. We should not have been in this difficult situation but we have full confidence in you and your ability to overcome this difficult situation and achieve a positive result to help the team continue the journey in the CAF Champions League competition.” El Khatib told the team.

Also, El Khatib stressed Al Ahly players’ responsibility towards the club and the fans, adding that they must do their best against AS Vita Club to return to the winning track in the competition.

On a similar note, El Khatib affirmed that he trusts the team players to put on a strong performance and achieve the ambitions of Al Ahly fans.

El Khatib concluded his meeting with the players and the coaching staff, and then Al Ahly’s first team left for Cairo International Airport to start their journey to DR Congo.
