Al Ahly President Captain Mahmoud El Khatib paid a visit today to Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award headquarter in Dubai.

El Khatib was accompained by the Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council HE Saeed Mohammed Hareb and the Assistant Secertary General of Dubai Sports Council and the Director of the Award Nasser Aman Al Rahma.

Our President El Khatib affirmed that "Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award", which is one of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's global initiatives to honor the creative individuals in the sports field, plays a huge role in developing sports sector in the Arab countries and also consolidates the idea of creativity in the sports sector in the UAE, Arab World and the whole world.

El Khatib also thanked the Crown Prince of Dubai and the Chairman of the Award, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the Head of the National Olympic Committee and the Head of the Award, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for including the Arabian Sports in the award and providing all the support to the award to fulfill the needed development in the sports sector in the UAE, Arab countries and  the whole world. 

Al Rahma also congratulated El Khatib on Al Ahly's winning of the "African Club of the Century & Top Winning Titles in the Middle East" award at the Globe Soccer Awards event. 

El Khatib listened to a detailed explanation from Abdallah El Hamaday, the Head of the Sports Department of the Award, about the award's categories and the preparations for its 11th festival. 

Al Ahly received the "Best Arab Club Award" in 2013 after clinching our seventh African title in 2012, which led us to participate in FIFA Club World Cup in Japan, where we secured the fourth place. 

Also, El Khatib stressed that winning the awards always motivates the players and the fans to clinch more titles, especially if it was a prestigious award such as "Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award".
