Federation Internationale de Football Association, FIFA, congratulated Al Ahly on winning the bronze medal in the FIFA Club World Cup for the second time in the club’s history.

Following Al Ahly’s 3-2 victory on penalties over Palmeiras in the bronze medal game of the FIFA Club World Cup, FIFA tweeted on their official Arabic account: “Al Ahly claim the bronze medal. Congratulations on winning third place and defeating Brazil’s Palmeiras.”

Moreover, FIFA Club World Cup’s official Facebook account posted following the game: “Al Ahly SC clinch Club World Cup bronze on penalties after they and SE Palmeiras couldn't be separated after 90 minutes in Doha.
Junior Ajayi sunk the crucial spot-kick, before Mohamed El Shenawy denied Felipe Melo to see Ahly finish third for a second time!” 

The Red Eagles managed to win the bronze medal in the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup, repeating our achievement of 2006.
