Al Ahly men’s handball team continued preparations for the Egyptian Super Cup final against Smouha, set to take place in the United Arab Emirates on Friday at Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Hall.
The Red Eagles trained at the match venue on Tuesday before holding physical sessions at Al Ain Club’s gym, following a programme designed by head coach David Davis.
The technical staff are focused on ensuring the players reach full readiness for the match and recover from the fatigue of travel.
Al Ahly advanced to the final after defeating Sporting 29-22 in the semi-finals, while Smouha edged past Zamalek to secure their place in the title clash.
The Egyptian Handball Super Cup marks the start of the new sports season and features four teams: Al Ahly, Zamalek, Smouha and Sporting.
