Al Ahly’s first-team concluded the third training session in Doha as our team continues preparations for the opening game in the FIFA Club World Cup against Al Duhail SC.
Al Ahly’s delegation returned back to the team’s residency in Doha after training at Qatar University stadium.
Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane held a tactical meeting with the players before the start of Monday’s training session.
During his meeting, Mosimane discussed several tactical points that he wanted the players to implement in today’s training.
Moreover, both Hussein El Shahaat and Mohamed Hany returned back to the team’s full training sessions, after recovering from the hamstring injuries that they picked up earlier last month.
Intense Training Session For Our Goalkeepers
Al Ahly’s goalkeeping coach, Michel Iannacone held an intense training session for our goalkeepers ahead of Thursday’s match against Al-Duhail SC.
Iannacone gave several instructions to our goalkeepers: Mohamed El Shenawy, Ali Lotfy, Mostafa Shobeir, and Hamza Alaa during today’s session.
New COVID-19 Test
On a similar note, Al Ahly’s delegation underwent a COVID-19 test today, as part of the precautionary measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
The Red Eagles are currently preparing for Thursday’s match against Al-Duhail SC in the first round of the FIFA Club World Cup.
Al Ahly will be participating for the sixth time in the FIFA Club World Cup, with our biggest achievement being coming in third place in 2006.
