Mahmoud El Khatib, Al Ahly’s President, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, Assem El Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and New Urban Communities, and Ahmed Rashid, Giza Governor, have laid the foundation stone of Al Ahly Stadium on Saturday in the presence of some of the nation’s respectable figures.

Moreover, the stadium will be established on an area that is about 48,000 meters, aside from the other surrounding buildings; such as training grounds and the indoor hall. Also, it is expected to be finished within 5 years and it will have a capacity of 50,000 fans.

Additionally, Al Ahly's board of directors expressed their sincere thanks and gratitude to president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his great support to Egyptian sports and all its institutions, including Al Ahly.
