Mosimane Press Conference: Al Ahly 3- Misr Lel Makkasa 1

Al Ahly succeeded to clinch an important winning tonight after defeating Misr Lel Makkasa 3-1 in the opening fixture of the Egyptian Premier League at Al Ahly Stadium.

Our coach Mosimane revealed his thoughts of tonight's game to the press, so here is the full transcript...

On tonight's game...

"I am so glad to win our first game in the new season, but tonight's result did not reflect our performance in the match. We missed several scoring chances and we need to be more focused to be ready for the upcoming challenges."

On tonight's opponents..

"Misr Lel Makkasa is a very good team and they have a fantastic coach. They play good football and they were tough opponents in the match."

On the game's line-up...

"The game's starting XI included new faces, and they need more time to adapt together. Sherif played well tonight and scored a goal, but unforuanetly it was disallowed. But I will watch it again to see if it was offside or not."

On Dieng...

"We did not start with Dieng as he was sidelined for a while after testing positive for COVID-19. We have many fantastic midfielders such as Hamdy Fathy and Amr El Soulia, but we can not start the matches with all of them."
