Al Ahly’s defender Saad Samir revealed his happiness for participating in the FIFA Club World Cup for the third time in his career. 

“FIFA Club World Cup is a great competition and it is very unique. Taking part in this tournament is a dream for all the players and this what I said to my teammates. Especially that most of them will participate in the competition for the first time.” 

“I also told them that we have to seize all the chances we all in order to win.” 

Samir also stated that defeating Al Duhial SC will give Al Ahly a great opportunity to win a medal in the tournament.

“We have an important game against Al Duhail SC, as they are a tough opponent. They will play in their homeland and among their supporters. Besides that they have a lot of good players, so the game will not be easy.” 

“Al Ahly will represent Africa, not only Egypt. So our mission is hard and it needs everybody’s efforts to achieve our goal.” 

“I am lucky that I participated in the competition at the time when the fans could attend the games, as they are very important for any football player.”

“We have great and loyal supporters, and we will keep fighting for Al Ahly.”

Our defender added that the team has a lot of experience to deal with facing Al Duhail SC and all the expectations regarding playing against Bayern Munchen.

“In Al Ahly, we are used to deal with each step separately, in order to reach our goals.”
