Sherif: We Want to Defend our Title

Al Ahly player Mohamed Sherif spoke ahead of our game against AS SONIDEP in the first leg of the CAF Champions League round of 32.

Sherif said that today's game is very important as it will be the first step in our journey to defend the African title.

"We seek to make a good start in the Champions league, despite that we do not have much information about our opponent besides the poor condition of the pitch and also the high temperature."

"Al Ahly is the biggest club in Africa and facing it will always put much pressure on the opponents."

"It is very early to speak about facing Zamalek SC in the league, as we are currently focusing on AS SONIDEP's game and then we will think about the derby after we finish our mission in Niger."
