Al Ahly midfielder Emam Ashour and goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir sustained injuries during the team’s 3-0 win over Enppi on Tuesday in the Egyptian Premier League.
Team doctor Ahmed Gaballah said Ashour suffered a severe knee bruise and will undergo another medical examination to further assess his condition.
Meanwhile, Gaballah revealed that Shobeir underwent an MRI scan after the match.
The scan showed that Shobeir sustained a strain in the lower part of his hamstring.
Gaballah added that the club’s medical staff has prepared a physical therapy and rehabilitation program for Shobeir to follow over the coming days.
