After having discussions with Mahmoud El Khatib, Al Ahly’s president, Sayed Abdelhafiz, the club's director of football, decided to reward Al Ahly players with a special bonus after the team’s 1-0 victory over Esperance.

The Red Eagles defeated Esperance 1-0 in Tunisia on Saturday in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals.

On a similar note, Al Ahly’s football first team will have a 48-hour rest after arriving in Cairo in the early hours of Sunday.
