Al Ahly women’s football team have kicked off a one-week closed training camp in the International Olympic City in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital as part of their preparations for the 2025–26 season.
Head coach Dimitri Lipoff of France will use the camp to implement both technical and physical training programmes, while finalising tactics ahead of the season opener.
The Red Eagles will launch their domestic campaign against Al Tayaran on Friday, 22 August, at the latter’s home ground in New Cairo in the opening round of the Egyptian Women’s League.
Al Ahly finished second in last season’s standings with 65 points, five behind champions FC Masar.
