Mahmoud: I Have Confidence in My Teammates 

Mohamed Mahmoud, Al Ahly’s football first team attacking midfielder, spoke ahead of Saturday’s game against Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia.

In an exclusive interview with us, Mahmoud talked about his injury and gave his thoughts on our bronze medal game of the FIFA Club World Cup against Al Hilal.

“I wish my teammates all the best in tomorrow’s game. I expect it to be a tough match; however, I have confidence in my teammates that they will be able to win the bronze medal for the second consecutive season.”

“Unfortunately, I wasn’t part of the tournament’s squad due to the hamstring injury which I picked up prior to the competition. I am now back to the team’s training sessions and I try to support the team in any way possible.”

“I hope that we will be able to win the CAF Champions League title this season and come back again to the FIFA Club World Cup next year in order to participate with the team in the competition.”

“The atmosphere of the FIFA Club World Cup is great. We get to compete with the best team in each continent. Hopefully, we will be to win the bronze medal to please our fans.”
