Our women’s basketball team made history by winning the 2024 FIBA Women’s Basketball League Africa Zone 5 Qualifiers, securing a commanding 93-69 victory over Rwanda’s REG in the tournament final and officially qualifying for the WBLA Finals, set to take place in Senegal this December.

The Reds dominated all six games leading up to securing first place. They achieved victories over Tanzania’s Vijana Basketball Club 145-52, Burundi’s Young Sisters 134-35, and Rwanda’s JKL 100-61, completing the group stage undefeated and qualifying to the quarterfinals. 
The Eagles then faced Vijana Basketball Club once more, winning 130-47 to earn a spot in the semifinals. 
Our Eagles continued their winning streak with a 104-63 victory over Kenya’s KPA, moving on to face Rwanda’s REG in the final before returning home with an unbroken record.

The team delivered a strong performance, dominating the court to finish the qualifiers tournament in first place. Their efforts have earned them a well-deserved spot in the finals.
