Al Ahly board approves candidate list ahead of October elections

Al Ahly’s Board of Directors, chaired by Mahmoud El Khatib, has approved the final list of candidates for the club’s upcoming board elections, scheduled to be held on 30 and 31 October.

The decision was made during a board meeting at the club’s Sheikh Zayed branch, where officials reviewed nomination documents submitted during the official application period.

The paperwork was vetted by both an internal club committee and the relevant government authority.

The approved candidates are:
 President: Mahmoud El Khatib
Vice President: Yassin Mansour
Treasurer: Khaled Mortagy

Senior board member candidates:
Tarek Kandil, Mohamed El Ghazawy, Mohamed El Damaty, Mohamed El Garhy, Sayed Abdel Hafiz, Ahmed Hossam Awad, Hazem Helal, Hassan Tantawi, Ahmed Sherif, and Ahmed Magdy El Haiwan.

Junior board member candidates:
Ibrahim El Amri and Rowida Hesham.

 The board also directed the club’s executive management to implement all necessary measures to ensure the smooth participation of general assembly members in the electoral process later this month.
