The South African media congratulated Al Ahly and our coach Pitso Mosimane on winning the Egyptian Cup tonight and securing the second treble in the club's history after defeating Talae’a El Gaish 3-2 on penalties, as the regular time ended in a 1-1 draw.

Our players gave El Gaish SC players a guard of honour following the Egyptian Cup final, which ended with a 3-2 win for Al Ahly on penalties, as the regular time and extra-time ended with a 1-1 draw.

Al Ahly’s first team managed to equal FC Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona’s record after winning the treble for the second time in the history of the club following the team’s victory against Tala’ea El Gaish SC in the final of the Egyptian Cup.
