Sami Komsan, Al Ahly’s football first team assistant coach, expressed his happiness after winning the CAF Champions League title.
In his post-match interview, Komsan praised the players for their determination to win the club’s tenth CAF Champions League title.
“Our players were determined to win the title and the follow the footsteps of Al Ahly’s previous golden generations.”
“We expected Kaizer Chiefs to follow that style of play and be very compact. The red card came in an ideal timing for us, and we were able to score three goals and win the title.”
Finally, Komsan concluded his interview by dedicating this title to his mother, which recently passed away, and to captain Mahmoud El Khatib, Al Ahly president, who stood by the team during the whole last period.
The Red Eagles secured the prestigious title after defeating South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs 3-0 on Saturday night at Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca.
