Sami Komsan, Al Ahly’s assistant coach, spoke ahead of the team’s upcoming match against RS Berknae of Morocco in the CAF Super Cup, scheduled on Friday in Doha.
“The coaching staff started the preparations for RS Berkane’s game immediately after the match against Mamelodi Sundown. We turned the page on the CAF Champions League and we are currently focusing on the CAF Super Cup.”
“Mamelodi Sundowns are a good team, but our players were determined to secure qualification to the semi-finals. They put on a great performance and booked our qualification to the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League. This reflects Al Ahly’s character which always appears in the hard times, and now we have another challenge to win the CAF Super Cup.”
“RS Berkane are a good team. They managed to win the CAF Confederation Cup after defeating Pyramids."
“RS Berkane may not be in a good position right now in the Moroccan league, but they are a good team on both physical and technical levels. The CAF Super Cup is only one game, so we will have different preparations for it. We will do our best to celebrate the title with Al Ahly Fans.”
