Sami Komsan, Al Ahly’s assistant coach, spoke about our game against Morocco’s RS Berkane in the CAF Super Cup, scheduled on Friday at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.

“RS Berkane have many good players and we respect them, but we are ready for the game.”

For example, England’s Chelsea reached the UEFA Champions League final despite they finished the season in fourth place in the English Premier League. Also, South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs reached the CAF Champions League semi-finals, despite that they are placed in the 11th position in their domestic league.”

“The final games do not have specific standards, as every club seeks to win the title during the 90 minutes.”

“Our early arrival in Qatar gave the players the needed time to recover and focus on the CAF Super Cup game, especially after our long trip from South Africa to Qatar.”

“Al Ahly fans are our greatest support. They played a crucial role in the FIFA Club World Cup and helped us to clinch the bronze medal. I am optimistic for their presence in the game and I wish to see them at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium's stands.”
